2nd Place - Keitumetse Maboe
Keitumetse Maboe from the Tshwane University of Technology, claims second place with his project; African Renaissance in a Modern Work Area. The amalgamation of an organic and natural feel with a corporate work environment is ever-present as earthy Plascon colours are used to perfection. According to a study on which the project was based, nature has a calming effect on humans by actually reducing stress. The design was nothing short of successful with this incredible integration of nature within the corporate environment, all the while drawing its inspiration from African roots. Keitumetse used the following colours: African Mud (black), White Rhino (beige), Desert Spring (light green) and Vineyard Green (dark green)
3rd Place - Cecil James Frost
Our beautiful shade of yellow, Sunkissed, was the inspiration behind the design that took third place. Cecil James Frost from the Tshwane University of Technology named his project Suburban Kiss, adding dashes of colour in an incredibly intelligent manner. Yellow is known to help stimulate creativity in the work environment and has definitely been put to good use in this project.
