Mr H Ishino (Hiroshi)
Graduated from the Faculty of Law, Tokyo University, Japan
Mr Ishino was appointed as Non-Executive Chairman of Kansai Plascon Africa Limited on 1 April 2016. He joined Kansai Paint Co., Ltd in March 2003 and in 2006 he was appointed as Director, Deputy General Manager in the International Division. Between 2008 and 2011 Mr Ishino held various senior positions in the company including Managing Director Coatings Business, Business Planning & Administration International, Senior Managing Director Procurement and Senior Managing Executive Officer. In 2012 he was appointed as Representative Director, Senior Management Executive Officer Coatings Business (Marketing), International, Global Procurement. Mr Ishino was appointed President of Kansai Paint Co., Ltd in April 2013.
Mr AJ Phillips (Tony)
Mr Phillips was appointed Non-Executive Vice Chairman of Kansai Plascon Africa Limited on 28 April 2011. He is well known and respected for his previous role as CEO of Barloworld and Chairman of PPC and he brings many years of commercial experience to the Group. Mr Phillips currently holds various positions including inter alia Chairman of Newman Lowther and Associates, Eqstra Holdings Limited, Wasteman Holdings (Pty) Limited, MPACT Ltd, Tete Ferry Sun SA, a company incorporated in Mozambique and Histoset (Pty) Ltd.
Mr Y Akaki (Yu)
Graduated from the Graduate School of Engineering (Industrial Chemistry), University of Toyama, Japan
Mr Akaki was appointed to the Kansai Plascon Africa Limited board on 1 April 2017. He joined Kansai Paint Co., Ltd. (Japan) in April 1986 where he held various positions prior to being appointed as Executive Officer, Deputy General Manager of the Corporate Business Development Division in April 2016.
Prof E Links (Eltie)
B.Com, M.Com, MA, Ph.D (SUNY)
Eltie joined Kansai Plascon Africa Limited in October 2007. From 1996 to 2000 he was the South African ambassador to the European Union in Brussels as well as ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg. He was chief negotiator for South Africa in the completion of negotiations on a trade, development and co-operation agreement. He is a council member of the B-BBEE Council of the President of South Africa and Chairman of the Pioneer Trust (PFECT) as well as MOT South Africa. Eltie is a Director on numerous boards including inter alia Allianz Global Corporate and Speciality SA Limited, Auto & General Insurance Company Limited and Steyn City Properties (Pty) Ltd. Other responsibilities include being a Trustee on the Abe Bailey Trust in Cape Town and the HB Thom Trust in Stellenbosch.
Mr MA Moloto (Arthur)

Mr Moloto was appointed to the Kansai Plascon Africa Limited board on 1 March 2012. He previously held the position of Chairman of AFHCO Holdings (Pty) Ltd and is currently an independent non-executive director of SA Corporate Real Estate Fund Managers Limited. Mr Moloto serves as a non-executive director of the Development Bank of South Africa, the Land and Agricultural Development Bank of South Africa as well as the Centre for Education in Economics and Finance, Africa. He was formerly the African National Congress party leader/whip on the Energy Portfolio committee and the Auditor-general committee in parliament and currently serves as political and economic adviser to the Speaker of the National Assembly at Parliament. Mr Moloto was a former member of the standing committee on finance and head of parliament’s portfolio committee on finance and adviser to former public enterprises minister Barbara Hogan. He also held the position of political whip of the ruling party and served as the deputy director (program management) in the office of the Premier of Limpopo.
Mrs MA Moses (Moira)

Mrs Moses was nominated by the Public Investment Corporation (PIC) as a representative on the Kansai Plascon Africa Limited board and was appointed on 23 May 2014. She is an independent Non-Executive Director on the board of the PIC as well as a member of the Audit & Risk committee, the Remuneration and Human Resources committee. Mrs Moses is a trustee of the Government Employees Pension Fund (GEPF) and also serves as a member of their Remuneration and Human Resource committee. In addition, she is a non-executive director on the board of the Afrisam Group and Afrisam (South Africa).
Mr PR Lalla (Prejay)

Prejay was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Kansai Plascon Africa Limited in August 2017.
He started his career at Dulux Paints in 1991 as a development chemist and held a number of senior commercial positions locally and internationally with ICI Paints and AkzoNobel. He joined the Kansai Plascon Group in March 2016 as Commercial Unit Executive, Africa – Professional Business. This was followed by his appointed as Group Head, Marketing in April 2017. Prejay brings a wealth of operational, marketing, sales and strategic management knowledge to the Kansai Plascon Group.
Ms A Botha (Amelia)

Chief Financial Officer
Amelia joined Barloworld Coatings in 1998. She moved to the Barloworld Plascon business unit in 1999 where she held various positions in the Plascon finance function. Amelia was appointed Financial Director of Plascon South Africa in 2005. In 2014 she joined the SAP implementation team as Finance Lead and subsequently also spent time as Commercial Business Partner and Head of Special Projects for the Kansai Plascon Africa group. Amelia was appointed Chief Financial Officer on 1 October 2017 and brings a wealth of operational and financial management knowledge to the executive team.
