On the 17th May 2018, Kansai Paint Co. Ltd, (parent company of Kansai Plascon) celebrated its 100th anniversary. As part of ongoing initiatives around this centennial milestone, the company (head office Osaka City) has announced that a new corporate brand logo and name has been launched, further to collating contributions from both Japan and the Kansai group of international companies.
Kansai Paint’s previous corporate brand, ALESCO, was established some 30 years ago. As operations have expanded globally however, the need to consolidate the Kansai Paint corporate brands has resulted in the development of the new logo and name. The new logo will be an icon for Kansai Paint, shared and used throughout all Kansai Paint Group companies as of the 01 November 2018. Rollout of the brand throughout all territories is expected to take three years.
The symbol represents beauty on the outside, technology and performance on the inside. The two elements forming the ‘K’ of Kansai represent partnership, collaboration and embracing different perspectives.
In addition to the new corporate brand image that has been developed, Kansai Paint aim to inspire all employees within the global network to greater levels of cooperation across companies, increase their sense of job satisfaction and enhance the sense of corporate culture.
