Tucked away in a security estate in Sandton, Johannesburg – Gina Robinson’s face-lifted home creates a natural escape from the busy bustle of city living.
Gina Robinson and her family are passionate about the outdoors. While on the hunt for their new home, they knew that they needed to find something that could offer all the perks of modern living, while simultaneously being a homely escape in a botanical haven.
When they first bought the house, they fell in love with the grand garden, but felt that the ivy covering the house needed to go and that a fresh lick of paint could transform the good bones they knew were beneath it, into a place they could really call home. Certain of the need for change, yet uncertain of how to effect it, they made their way to the Plascon SPACES showroom in Fourways for advice on which colours would be best suited for their new home’s makeover.
They received expert advice from Zurita Moore – a Plascon SPACES consultant – for both the exterior and interior of the house. The neutral colour they decided on subtly highlights the beauty of the natural setting.
The exterior walls are painted in Plascon Micatex Misty Valley (BBO 609).
