Create a dreamy, tranquil mood in your living room with an Ombré artwork showcasing a host of foggy blues from the 2017 Forecast’s Anonymous palette.



YOU NEED 

Weekend paint project: ombré artwork

 

  • Plascon Cashmere Light Grey Aluminium (EC 44)
  • Windblown (B6-B1-2)
  • Tribecca Corner (EC 48) and black.
  • Other: Paintbrushes, a sponge and a canvas.

TIME NEEDED

One day.

Step 1: Starting on the left side of your canvas (or top if you prefer to work down), apply a small amount of the lightest colour, Light Grey Aluminium.

Step 2: Dab a sponge onto the paint in a circular motion to create a soft, cloudy effect.

Step 3: While the paint is still wet, apply the next colour, Windblown, with a new brush, repeating the same sponge effect. Add a bit of Tribecca Corner to the Windblown, and repeat the sponge effect.

Step 4: Slowly add more and more of the Tribecca Corner, sponging after each application, until it becomes gradually darker. End off by adding black.

Step 5: Once dry, apply more colour to areas to add depth and interest, using your sponge to soften.
