1 Room, 4 Looks: Rustic Summer Patio

Jan 23, 2017

This relaxed, contemporary space owes its success to the use of a tranquil backdrop and the addition of lush foliage and metal accents for impact.

THE MAIN EVENT

Foster a sense of tranquillity by painting your patio wall in Plascon’s In The Mood (O6-E2-3). A serene and calming shade, and Plascon’s pink-toned Colour of the Year for 2016, it has cocooning qualities that connect it, and the space in which it is used, to the earth.

GET THE LOOK

● Add drama to the space by offsetting the neutral paint colour with accessories in shades of charcoal and black, and add foliage in a reference to the natural world.

● The addition of textural elements such as cement and cork add a modern touch to the décor scheme, as does the inclusion of a geometric outdoor rug.
