Build a grown-up fairy-tale bedroom with rich, luxurious textures and healing hues.
Vintage charm and much-loved treasures meet coppery metals and the clean lines of contemporary wall art, creating a cosy, restful, light and airy space.
We used Plascon Double Velvet because of its luxurious velvet sheen finish. It’s also easy to clean and stain resistant. Plascon Cashmere is also a great choice, offering a plush, matt finish, which hides imperfections.
Ceramic plate, Stable. Clockwise, from top left: Plascon Double Velvet, Velvet Pansy (P5-B1-1), Ridge (G5-E1-3), Petite White (G3-E2-3) and Nomadic Dream (EC 56).
Earth-inspired Ridge (G5-E1-3), from Plascon Forecast’s Terrain story for 2017,
is the green-tinged, restorative lynchpin of this palette, complemented by
other soft hues from the mossy spectrum, like Petite White (G3-E2-3)
and Nomadic Dream (EC 56), and brought to life with a pop of
Velvet Pansy (P5-B1-1).
Clockwise from top: Painting, stylist’s own. Soft-edge chair by Hay, and base floor lamp by Tom Dixon, both Créma Design. Plant, Starke Ayres. Rug, Gonsenhausers Fine Rugs.
