HOW TO GIVE YOUR KITCHEN THE COOL BLUE LOOK

Oct 20, 2017
CoolBlue

A calm, orderly kitchen that has depth and interest.

THE LOOK

Modern Scandi simplicity. Natural materials and neutrals dominate.

THE ACCESSORIES

This considered palette sees deep blue offset by cream and white, raw wood and chrome. Ceramics, glass, wooden flooring and textural elements add interest. Smeg’s iconic ’50s Retro Style fridge in Pastel Blue and stand mixer in Vintage Cream have all of the stylish Scandi credentials, and pair perfectly with the Smeg stainless steel Concert cooker and wall-mounted extractor hood. All Smeg appliances are available at Hirsch’s.

THE COLOUR

Indigo is full of depth, and the darker you go the more contemporary it feels. The wall is painted in Plascon Ocean Melody (B6-D1-2), and the shelves and cupboards in Plascon Broken Shell (B6-E2-2).

Clockwise from top right: Parabola lamp, napkins, Rockwell dining table, Water Lily stool and mugs, all Weylandts.
